Calendula officinalis

Calendula or Marigold, very beautiful flower :). it's from Asteraceae family, same with daisy family ( yeah yeah I still enjoy the Biology class, haha). Calendula is from Latin language Calen dae meaning Little clock, Little calender. It can be planted in Southwestern Asia, Western Europe, and Mediterranean. I just know that Marigold is refers to virgin Mary, haha.

The flower used for cosmetics, culinary ( for soup and make color in chesse/ butter, also for tea of course) and for medicinal use ( stop bleeding, prevent infection, antiseptic, and detoxify liver and gall bladder).

Romans and Greeks used the golden Calendula in the rituals and ceremony. In India the flower used to decorate Hindu statues.

Dank je wel Sissy!

Torremolinos is a municipality on the Costa del Sol of the Mediterranean in the province of Malaga in Andalusia. In that picture we can see the Tower of the mills ( Torre de Los Molino) that built by the nasrid from 1300. In the 18th century the town was attacked by an Anglo- Duth and almost entirely destroyed.

The mills and the city were rebuilt in the early 20th century but the mill industry closed in the 1920s. And then the city become tourist area especially with the British visitors :).

SALAMANCA MARKET

Salamanca Market is street market in Hobart, Tasmania. It held every Saturdays between 8.30 am till 3.00 pm. In the beginning of 1972 this market only had 12 stalls but nowadays it have 300 stalls.

You can buy fresh product, local art, and crafts here. And so many tourists come here to buy that products :). It's very interesting concept for traditional market, and I wish someday Indonesia have this kind of market, hehe.
